Pottery
I attended Pottery classes for about a year. Below are some of the stuff that I have created.
I had also given some of them away, such as small dishes, pots, soap dish, vases, etc. I have lost track how many items I have made to date...... Some items are so ugly that I would cringe if I see them, hence these items have been given away to the Salvation Army.Some of the more 'acceptable' stuff that's taking up space at home:
3 Aroma therapy burners
Pot with lid. This is meant to be a 'Strawberry' container. Original design from yours truly. But unfortunately, bright pink and green glazes for clay do not seem to exist - at least not at Tanjong Pagar CC, where I attend the Pottery classes.
One of my favourite teapot. Design copied from BigO's teapot (Opps, Copycat!). I though it was very unique. You can place it by the side or let it stand vertically. Either way it looks great!
Tree truck teapot. This is the yin and yang, male and female set. At least it seems to look that way to me.
This is a 'slanting' plate. Design is inspired by the salad bowl from Bakerzin. The glazing is influenced by the Japanese since I glazed this just after my Tokyo trip.

Well, not difficult to guess from the absence from my blog. Past 2 weeks just went past like a whirl wind. I am going to miss my classes and hoped that one day I would be able to resume. While the glaze choices remain unexciting at Tanjong Pagar CC, the teacher had been really nice and patient. It is indeed a very nice place to unwind and relax - maybe that's what I would do - Pottery - when I retire.
