Mindless Activity - I am the Emperor
Since I don't know what to post, I have been reading other strangers' blogs. One of them had this Tarot reading link in his page. I tried and discovered that I am the Emperor! Haha... Those who know me, you think this describes me fairly?

DESCRIPTION
The figure of the Emperor says much about the essential qualities of this card. We see a stern, commanding figure seated on a stone-slab throne. His back is straight, and his eyes meet ours directly. He is confident of his complete authority to rule.
The Emperor represents structure, order and regulation - forces to balance the free-flowing, lavish abundance of the Empress. He advocates a four-square world where trains are on time, games are played by rules, and commanding officers are respected. In chaotic situations, the Emperor can indicate the need for organization. Loose ends should be tied up, and wayward elements, harnessed. In situations that are already over-controlled, he suggests the confining effect of those constraints.
The Emperor can represent an encounter with authority or the assumption of power and control. As the regulator, he is often associated with legal matters, disciplinary actions, and officialdom in all its forms. He can also stand for an individual father or archetypal Father in his role as guide, protector and provider.

Project Superstar
I was an avid follower of the first Project Superstar, partly because one of the contestants (Hong Junyang) is my colleague's son, and JJ Lin is the nephew of another colleague as well. In addition, the program was truly entertaining and the contestants do have the vocals, in addition to not too bad looks. I even went to the Indoor Stadium to catch the finals live at that time, ticket courtesy of JJ Lin's aunty. I can't say I have the same enthusiasm now for Project Superstar 2 (more because I am so bogged down in the office most of the time). I only managed to catch one episode last Wednesday.
The 4 finalists from the first Project Superstar each has their own album by now, the latest to the list being 石欣卉. I have bought Kelly's, JY's and Xinhui's albums. I decided to support these 3 finalists as each of them has their own singing style and they are equally good. Though Weilian is not bad, I don't really enjoy his style of singing and hence I didnt buy his album. During the competition, I had voted for Weilian though, as he was truly better than some of the contestants that he was up against.
Of the 3 albums, I preferred JY's and Xinhui's. Here's one song from Xinhui's album. I tried to post a few more songs but kept facing problem. Give up!

X'mas Season
It's Christmas again, my favourite and most headache season of the year. I enjoyed seeing lighted streets and decorated buildings for Christmas. I enjoyed the X'mas songs played in every store that I walk past. I loved the mood and atmosphere, be it at work or during leisure. I think I might even be skipping and humming as I walk along .......but the crowd and heat can sometimes be unbearable, especially in town!
I guess everyone's very busy this season, judging from the rate the blogs get updated. :-P
The most headache part of this season is getting the right gifts. I have to get an alarm clock as a Christmas gift for my boss, as I 'tikum' her this year. I have yet to see one that is nice and within budget. I am also having a headache over what to get for my new male HR Assistant. In the past, my department comprises only females, hence it was pretty easy to get gifts. But when it comes to getting a gift for a male, I am stumped! Perhaps just get comics, books? Any suggestions?

Pottery
I attended Pottery classes for about a year. Below are some of the stuff that I have created.
I had also given some of them away, such as small dishes, pots, soap dish, vases, etc. I have lost track how many items I have made to date...... Some items are so ugly that I would cringe if I see them, hence these items have been given away to the Salvation Army.
3 Aroma therapy burners
Pot with lid. This is meant to be a 'Strawberry' container. Original design from yours truly. But unfortunately, bright pink and green glazes for clay do not seem to exist - at least not at Tanjong Pagar CC, where I attend the Pottery classes.
One of my favourite teapot. Design copied from BigO's teapot (Opps, Copycat!). I though it was very unique. You can place it by the side or let it stand vertically. Either way it looks great!
Tree truck teapot. This is the yin and yang, male and female set. At least it seems to look that way to me.
This is a 'slanting' plate. Design is inspired by the salad bowl from Bakerzin. The glazing is influenced by the Japanese since I glazed this just after my Tokyo trip.Labels: Hobby
